The judging process
The SuperMeat and Fish awards look for the very best in fresh and frozen meat, fish, seafood and poultry. We pride ourselves on an intensive judging process undertaken by a skilled expert panel.
Products are tested and tasted in professional kitchens by a panel of experienced judges, including nutritionists, food technologists, butchers, fishmongers and development chefs.
Products are judged on customer appeal, visual appearance, nutrition, cooking, serving and storage details, comparison of raw and cooked appearance (where appropriate), smell, taste, texture and value for money. You have to enter these awards to be in with a chance of winning Meat and Fish Retailer of the Year.
Processing and Supply Chain Awards
All entries will be assessed carefully by a panel of specially selected expert judges. The judges will review the written entry and score against a set of criteria to include customer service, innovation, communication and strategy. From this a shortlist will be agreed and announced in June.
The winners are announced in an exclusive invitation-only event on Monday 10th September at The Soho Hotel, London as well as being broadcast live.
